Where each figure comes from, how the INR amount is calculated, and how we make money.

Hong Kong dollar (HKD) to Indian rupee (INR) transfers, from a mix of online money-transfer services, Hong Kong banks and Indian bank NRI remittance services. We show how many rupees arrive for the amount you send, not just the headline fee.
The reference mid-market HKD to INR rate comes from an open currency-data feed that updates once a day. It is a reference point, not a quote you can transact at, and it can differ from tools such as XE or Google, which update continuously during the day. Every provider's margin is applied against this same reference so providers are compared on equal terms.
Each provider card is labelled with how its numbers were obtained:
For each provider: take the amount you send, subtract the flat fee, convert at the mid-market rate, then reduce the result by the provider's FX margin.
INR received = (HKD sent − flat fee) × mid-market rate × (1 − margin %)
This is an estimate. Real quotes can differ because of payment method, transfer size, time of day and promotions.
Some of the provider links on nriremit are affiliate links. If you click one and then become a customer, the provider may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you are quoted.
Where a link may earn us a commission, we aim to say so near the link or in the page disclaimer.
If a figure is out of date or wrong, email hello@nriremit.com with the provider and a screenshot or link if you have one. We will check it and correct the page.
